The Ohio State football season is underway and while the football team is chasing victories in their preparation for the season, the coaching staff is on double duty as they are chasing victories on the recruiting trail as well. This is one of the busiest times of year to be a college football coach, but no staff seems to find better balance than the coaches at Ohio State.
Taylor plans visits to OSU
Elite 2018 prospect, and Michigan commit, Leonard Taylor (Springfield, OH / Springfield) has made it apparent that he will make multiple visits to Ohio State this fall.
Taylor, who unexpectedly committed to the Wolverines early last spring, has kept the Buckeyes in his schools of interest. Standing at 6-foot-6 and weighing about 260 pounds, Taylor is obviously a big-time physical specimen who has the ability to play on the defensive line or even at tight end in college. The Ohio native is sure to be one of the top prospects in his class when his senior year rolls around and the Ohio State coaches will be working their tails off to flip him.
Before the commit to Michigan it was always thought that the Buckeyes were the favorite. The commit obviously changed things, though but Ohio State is far from out. Expect this one to be a roller coaster over the next couple of years as the Buckeyes are in as good as a position as anyone as it stands now.

While he is penciled in as a hard commit to That School Up North, 247sports crystal ball prediction believes something different. With seven predictions asked for, a majority say that Ohio State will be the landing spot for the Buckeye State native.
Rivals250 announced for 2018
As you remember, the Rivals100 for the class of 2018 was released on Monday and those rankings saw quarterback commit Emory Jones (Franklin, GA / Heard County) as a five-star and the number six rated player in the country.
On Tuesday, the Rivals250 was announced and though the Buckeyes don't have a ton of commits, yet, there were numerous targets scattered throughout. Recent running back commit Brian Snead (Seffner, FL / Armwood) did make the list, as he was named the 128th player overall in the class.

While he may be the 128th recruit on Rivals, Snead shows up in the top 100 on 247sports. Pulling in the No.74 spot, the Armwood product is considered the seventh best running back in the class and 17th best player in Florida.
Recruiting is a fickle business; you have to look at the tape and see for yourself whether or not a recruit will fit within the program. If you want to see what Snead will bring to scarlet and gray table, take a gander at his Hudl highlight reel.
