After a dominant performance at home, the Buckeyes take their show on the road to College Park.
Back. On. Track. After an absolute thumping of then-top-10 Nebraska, the doubts surrounding the Ohio State Buckeyes’ offensive prowess have melted away. Questions about the anemic vertical passing game were erased, and concerns over the strength of the offensive line eliminated. It didn’t hurt that the defense scored 14 points on their own, holding the Cornhuskers to just a field goal on the night.
Now, the Buckeyes head to Maryland to face a team that started the season 4-0, but now sits at 5-4 after six weeks’ worth of Big Ten play. While Maryland certainly is not on Nebraska’s level, the program has improved significantly since last season’s 3-9 record. Behind a strong, two-headed rushing attack, the Terps are averaging more than five yards per carry.
With Ohio State just one spot out of the College Football Playoff, the Buckeyes will need to put up more strong performances in order to impress the committee and remain in the playoff conversation as we approach the end of the regular season. We can expect Urban Meyer to keep his foot on the gas against Maryland for as long as it takes the offense to put up that kind of production.
When is the game and how can I watch?
Game Date/Time: Saturday, Nov. 12, 3:30 p.m.
Location: College Park, MD
TV: ESPN
Online: WatchESPN

Where is GameDay this weekend?
The College Gameday crew is headed to Seattle ahead of the matchup between No. 4 Washington and No. 20 USC. Gameday was in Utah when the Utes took on the Huskies in October, but this is just the second time in the show’s history that it has been hosted from Washington’s campus. Coincidentally, Lee Corso is a whopping 21-0 in headgear picks involving the Trojans.
What’s the rest of the Big Ten up to today?
All 14 Big Ten teams are in action today, starting off with three noon games between Rutgers and Michigan State (BTN), Northwestern and Purdue (BTN) and No. 10 Penn State at Indiana (ABC/ESPN2). Illinois then heads to No. 7 Wisconsin at 3:30 p.m. on ESPN2. At 7:30 p.m., No. 19 Nebraska takes on Minnesota on BTN, and at 8 p.m., Iowa faces No. 3 Michigan on ABC.
