Ohio State sends out another impressive amount of offers, makes short list for 2025 OT

The Buckeyes continue to offer new players with another six names added to the list on Thursday.
Wednesday was jam-packed with recruiting news, and Thursday was no different as the Ohio State coaching staff continued to dish out new offers to players in attendance for camp. Ahead of a major recruiting weekend that gets started on Friday, it’s another example of zero downtime for this program in the month of June.
Here are some of the latest players on Ohio State’s radar thanks to Thursday’s camp opportunity...
A 2027 quarterback, Edmunds was in attendance to see the Buckeyes, and left as the latest signal caller in the 2027 class to have an Ohio State offer.
Another big-time California product, Edmunds is already an impressive 6-foot-5, 200 pound athlete as just a freshman. Edmunds is not currently ranked on his 247Sports profile, but has offers from 20 schools and from the likes of Auburn, Florida State, Michigan, Oregon and now the Buckeyes.
Another tight end to see Ohio State offer, Keyes made the trek from the state up north and camped with the Buckeyes, turning the heads of the staff — and specifically position coach Keenan Bailey.
A class of 2026 prospect, Keyes adds his Ohio State offer to an already impressive list of over 20 schools, but interestingly enough, Michigan has yet to add their name into the mix, even with him just being down the road from their campus.
Unranked via his 247Sports profile, the 6-foot-6, 220 pound athlete has plenty of time to see his stock continue to rise with another two full years to develop his game.
The second 2026 tight end to leave with an Ohio State offer on Thursday, Jacobson coming from Iowa made his trip well worth his time after speaking with Bailey and earning the good news from the Buckeyes.
The No. 182 player nationally and seventh-best tight end in the class per 247Sports, Jacobson is another prospect with an impressive offer list, as he boasts double-digit schools from the likes of Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Texas A&M, and a host of others.
Coming to Ohio State to camp, obviously a goal was to get the Buckeyes interested, and he did just that. As the search for tight ends — and any position for that matter — continues through the rest of camp season, expect to hear more names with Jacobson being one of the latest.
One of the higher-ranked players on campus this week, the 2026 offensive line prospect was the next in line to receive the good news from Ohio State.
The No. 56 player nationally and third-best interior lineman in the 2026 cycle per the 247Sports Composite, Gray has over 30 offers and from every major program in the country.
Knowing the importance of prioritizing offensive line recruiting in every class, Justin Frye getting a look at Gray is a benefit. With offer extended now, Ohio State can really start courting him for his services. Getting him on campus is always a major win, but with how highly touted Gray is, certainly he’ll be a name further discussed in the coming months.
Another impressive target to see the Buckeyes on Thursday, Luckie made the trip from the Peach State, and left with his latest offer coming from Ohio State.
A 6-ffot-5, 250 pound defensive lineman, Luckie is currently the No. 224 player nationally and 25th best player at his position per the 247Sports Composite. Pegged early on the Crystal Ball to land at Georgia, Carter does already have double-digit offers to his name, but Ohio State’s is nothing to scoff at.
Larry Johnson is still arguably the best in the country at developing defensive line recruits, and his resume still speaks for itself when it comes to how prospects feel about him. Odds are Ohio State will be one offer he considers for the long haul.
The lone in-state offer yesterday, the Buckeyes offered the 6-foot, 180 pound athlete after his impressive camp performance working out as a receiver.
Easily his biggest offer to date, Ricketts had only heard from the MAC schools thus far. While any offer is one to be proud of, getting Ohio State’s attention — especially at the receiver position — says a lot about where his recruitment could go in the near future with other programs taking notice.
The Buckeyes and their success at the receiver spot is about as solid as one could hope for, so seeing Brian Hartline look in-state and feeling the need to offer says quite a bit. Typically, Ohio natives take these offers seriously, and this would be a shock to see anything different.
A 6-foot-7, 290 pound tackle, Lloyd is the No. 187 player nationally and the 19th best tackle in the country per the 247Sports Composite in the 2025 class.
Down to just six schools, Ohio State makes the cut joining the likes of Alabama, Oregon, Stanford, Tennessee and USC. Another high-profile tackle Frye is after, the Buckeyes are in the mix for a fair share of top prospects. Though the lone commitment of Carter Lowe is a big one, this staff knows they need to continue on until more are locked in.
