The Buckeyes had a busy Wednesday, offering several prospects who were on campus for camps.

June has a chance to be a major win for Ohio State on the recruiting front if the rest of the month plays out how the first week has. Landing the commitment of in-state running back Bo Jackson a few days ago was the first sign that the efforts are paying off.

Though Wednesday was mainly a camp day, there is plenty to discuss. Sending out a pretty impressive number of new offers, it’s full evaluation mode for the coaches ahead of what is going to be yet another very busy weekend of official visits.

Ohio State sends out offers to multiple defensive backs

Ohio State has dominated the recruiting scene in the defensive secondary, and specifically at cornerback. Position coach Tim Walton is killing it on the trail the last couple cycles, and currently holds the commitments from the top two players at the position in 2025 thanks to Devin Sanchez and Na’eem Offord.

Having both in the fold, Walton really only needs to land one more guy for the 2025 haul, and his options are once again super talented. Being able to focus some attention to the future with his top guys already secured, he’s already looking to the classes ahead. Wednesday was a major example when he dished out multiple offers to cornerbacks in those future cycles.

Starting in-state, the Buckeyes are now officially on the board for Toledo native, Victor Singleton. No stranger to Ohio State, Singleton has been on campus multiple times already, and the thought of him eventually landing an offer was always on the table. Now, it’s officially locked in.

The No. 144 player nationally and 10th-best cornerback in the 2026 class per the 247Sports Composite, Victor has nearly 20 offers to his name, but none bigger than this latest one coming from the Buckeyes. As seen over and over, the staff tends to keep their best in-state kids a top priority, and now with offer earned, Singleton fits that mold.

Staying in the Ohio 2026 class, the Buckeyes also offered Avon, Ohio product, Jakob Weatherspoon. A 5-foot-11, 175 pound athlete, Weatherspoon is the No. 196 player nationally and the 16th-best athlete in the class per the 247Sports Composite.

Projected as a cornerback at the next level, seeing Ohio State offer multiple guys in their own backyard tells you not only the priority of keeping in-state kids at home, but also that this upcoming 2026 class within state lines is very talented, boding well for the staff as a bulk of players can come from home.

His ninth D1 offer so far, Ohio State joins the likes of Cincinnati, Michigan, Penn State, and a host of others to be in the mix. Right away, you have to like Walton’s and Ohio State’s chances of being right at the top of Weatherspoon’s mind moving forward.

Blessed to have the opportunity to have recieved my 9th D1 offer from, THE ️hio State University!!#GoBucks@coach_elderm @CoachDuHart @MattGuerrieri @OGWalt_ @ryadaytime @OhioStateFB pic.twitter.com/GjvWP9w532

Wrapping up the cornerback position, Ohio State also took a look to the 2027 class when they offered Pennsylvania native, Larry Moon. Unranked right now via his 247Sports profile, it’s likely just a matter of time before Moon is one of the more highly regarded players at his position, considering he already holds over 20 offers and from many of the top programs in college football.

Schools such as Kentucky, LSU, Michigan, Miami, North Carolina, Penn State, Tennessee, and several others are in the mix, but Ohio State offering the Pittsburgh area athlete likely means even more are to follow. Another 5-foot-11, 170 pound athlete, getting this offer out of the way pretty early means Walton can begin really building a lasting impression on Moon.

Though it’s always a battle to pluck kids away from their home states, the Buckeyes have dominated in Pennsylvania the last several cycles, and would love for that to remain the case.

Offer-palooza continues on with other positions

Ohio State’s staff was busy on Wednesday, as previously mentioned. Let’s get to some of the other offers that were given out by the Buckeyes.

  • Jamier Brown (Huber Heights Wayne/Dayton, Ohio)

A 2027 athlete from the well-known Wayne High School, the Buckeyes are now on the list for what looks to be the next big time player from a school that has been very good to Ohio State over the years.

Yet to be ranked due to his class status via 247Sports, Brown is one of the faster players in his cycle, and already holds offers from Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, Tennessee, and others. Ohio State will fight tooth and nail before he leaves the state when the time comes. This is a name you’ll hear plenty over the next two years.

After a great conversation with @brianhartline I am blessed to receive A Division 1 Offer from THE Ohio state university ⚫@Coach_Mukes @CoachAJLash @AllenTrieu pic.twitter.com/cYve3UKzkj

  • Jerquaden Guilford (Northrup/Fort Wayne, Indiana)

Another receiver in the 2026 class, Guilford is a player that saw the benefit of camping at Ohio State yesterday, as he walks away with arguably his biggest offer to date.

The No. 477 player nationally and 72nd best receiver per the 247Sports Composite, Guildord holds offers from Miami, Ball State, and Toledo, but now has the Buckeyes to boast. Sure to now entertain others, look for Guildord to jump up the exposure list as well.

Extremely grateful & thankful to receive an offer from The Ohio State University. All glory to God. @brianhartline @CoachJordan82 @Dre_Muhammad @mickdwalker @AllenTrieu @SWiltfong_ @TomLoy247 @TractionAp @MylanGraham pic.twitter.com/m1Gl2Q8dxF

  • Bralan Womack (Hartfield Academy/Flowood, Mississippi)

One of the highest ranked prospects to visit the Buckeyes this week, the 2026 safety didn’t leave empty-handed, as Ohio State became his latest interested school.

The No. 21 player nationally and third best player at his position in the 2026 cycle per the 247Sports Composite, Womack has an impressive offer list, and currently has Notre Dame as the favorite on the Crystal Ball feature. Still plenty of time to really get in to the mix, the Buckeyes are officially in the fold now and will look to make up for lost time.

After a Great conversation with @ryandaytime I am extremely blessed to receive an offer from THEE Ohio State University‼️ @CraigBowman2 @wpg_coach_rip @NextLevelHawks @HA_Hawks_FB @demario__davis @Coach_CJBailey @COASTLINESTARS @TomLoy247 @Andrew_Ivins @MattGuerrieri pic.twitter.com/cwcNXSfeYg

  • Jude Cascone (Walton/Marietta, Georgia)

A 2026 tight-end, clearly the Buckeyes and specifically Keenan Bailey came away impressed after his camp performance, as the under-the-radar athlete did enough to catch Ohio State’s attention.

Offers from Georgia and Ohio State round up the two biggest programs interested, but odds are his continued increase in stock is going to make for a major domino effect.

I’m grateful to my coaches, teammates and family for helping me earn an ️ffer to play football at Ohio StaTE!

Thank you @CoachKee @ryandaytime and @OhioStateFB for a great camp today.#buckeyenation #ohiostaTE
