A number of highly rated recruits were on the Ohio State campus this weekend.

With most high school football seasons over, top prospects from across the country are starting to set up official visits to college campuses. On Saturday many of the targets on the Ohio State coaching staff's big board made their way to Columbus for the Buckeyes' matchup with the Spartans of Michigan State.

Even though things didn't end in the reigning national champions' favor, it gave the recruits a chance to see what it would be like to suit up on the college level for the Buckeyes during a big time nationally televised game.

While there were a large group of Ohio State commitments in attendance, below are just some of the recruits who were reportedly a part of the largest crowd in Ohio Stadium history:

Bridges talks OSU visit

Another underclassman that made the trek down to Columbus for the Buckeye game on Saturday was class of 2017 running back Weston Bridges of Copley High School in Akron.

"The Ohio State visit was beautiful. Things that stood out to me were the atmosphere and the players. Just being there and knowing that a coaching staff like that is looking at me is truly a blessing,"the 5'11, 190-pound junior stated to Land-Grant Holy Land.

The Buckeyes didn't pick up the win, but that didn't matter to Bridges, as he was just excited to be able to watch the matchup.

"I don't think bad of them at all. I believe it was a hard fought game. It just seemed like Michigan State wanted it more. The atmosphere was crazy. It was loud and filled with enthusiasm. The Buckeyes have a lot of die hard fans. I loved it," he added on his time at OSU.

Before the game, Bridges, who rushed for over 1,600 yards and 29 touchdowns this season, had the chance to catch up with one of the Buckeyes' assistant coaches.

"I talked with Ed Warinner. He was very excited about me coming. He told me couldn't wait to show me what the Buckeyes are all about and hoped I enjoyed it. I didn't get the chance to meet Coach (Tony) Alford but he knows about me and we have talked over the phone before," Bridges said.

Just starting the process with Ohio State, Bridges has yet to receive a scholarship offer from the OSU staff. Holding offers from programs such as Akron, Bowling Green, Kent State, and Toledo, Weston would love to add the Buckeyes to his growing list of scholarships in the coming months.

"It would mean the world to me. It would be such a blessing to play for or have the opportunity to play for one of the top teams in the nation. It's very close to home and everything about Ohio State I loved. I just want to compete and be the best I can be. I feel like Urban Meyer would not only make me a better player, but a better person, and get me prepared for life. That offer would mean a lot," he said.
