Buckeye commit Kareem Walker had Ohio State in to see him on Monday.

Ohio State is still undefeated heading into their bye week, which gives the coaching staff some extra time to not only gameplan for the remaining games on the Buckeyes' schedule, but also ensure that everything is going smoothly on the recruiting battlegrounds. In addition to trying to stay at the top both on the field and in the recruiting landscape, the Buckeyes are getting to work, which started Monday. That includes keeping up with current Ohio State commit '16 running back Kareem Walker.

The 6'1, 210-pound running back recently reaffirmed his commitment to Ohio State following the Buckeyes receiving a commitment from '16 running back Antonio Williams, who committed on Oct. 18. Walker had announced that though he was remaining committed to the Buckeyes, he would be taking his official visits (including one he took to arch-rival Michigan a few weeks back). Both running backs are hard commits for Ohio State right now, which is good news for the future, since Urban Meyer didn't sign a running back in 2014. He did sign Michael Weber in the class of '15, though, and Weber likely would have contributed some this season had he not gone down to injury.

Meanwhile, it looks like Ohio State will be just fine with the pair of top running backs they have in Kareem Walker and Antonio Williams. Walker is a four-star under the 247Sports Composite and is ranked as the nation's 31st best prospect overall, the top running back in the country, and the second-best recruit at any position from the state of New Jersey. Last season, Walker rushed for 1,607 yards and 26 touchdowns.

Williams, meanwhile, checks in at 5'11, 210-pounds and is also rated as a four-star under the 247Sports Composite rankings. Williams is ranked as the nation's seventh-best running back, and he's the eighth-best prospect from the state of North Carolina. Last season, Williams rushed for 2,267 yards and 27 touchdowns, and added a handful of receptions for two touchdowns as well.

With the visit from the coaching staff on Monday, Walker should remain committed for the foreseeable future. Although his recruitment to this point could certainly be a little frustrating, it might be worth the hassle when it's all said and done. Worst comes to worst, the Buckeyes still have one of the top running backs in the country in Williams should Walker end up backing out of his commitment after all, but right now I don't see that being the case.

In addition to another official visit to Ohio State, Walker plans on taking official visits to Alabama, Arizona State, and Ole Miss.
