A talented wide receiver from Michigan might end up in Ohio after all.
Crystal Ball turning Scarlet and Gray
Could the tide be turning for one of Ohio State's biggest remaining targets in the 2016 class? After previously being pegged to the in-state Spartans of Michigan State by many recruiting analysts around the country including myself, one is changing his tune on where Donnie Corley may land.
On Wednesday, 247Sports' Sean Scherer, who covers Michigan State for the site, cast a favorable prediction for the Detroit Martin Luther King (MI) standout pass-catcher. The prediction was that Corley, who Ohio State had to convince to take an official visit to before making a decision, will wind up as a Buckeye.
We'll see if this means that Scherer has inside knowledge on the situation or if he is just going off of a gut feeling. But either way, it's something to keep an eye on. Ohio State, if they were able to reel in the top flight receiver from enemy territory, would be bringing in a very impressive duo with him and '16 WR Austin Mack.

According to 270Hoops.com, Ohio State head coach Thad Matta and assistant coach Jeff Boals were in attendance for the Dublin Jerome (OH) - East Tech (OH) matchup on Wednesday night. The Buckeye coaches were checking out '17 PG Markell Johnson, who is a member of the Scarabs squad and is a four-star prospect.

At the moment, Johnson has yet to receive an offer from Ohio State. But if he keeps performing the way he has been, you can expect the 6'0, 160-pounder to get that offer sooner rather than later. For now, Johnson holds offers from the likes of Cleveland State and Louisville. Surely many more programs will be joining the picture and trying to get into the mix with the Cleveland native.
Despite being on the losing end, Johnson was able to finish the game with 21 points, two rebounds and five assists in the contest. We'll see if that is enough to impress the OSU coaches and lead to an offer from the in-state standout guard.
