With under two months until National Signing Day, Ohio State's staff is hard at work on the recruiting trail to try and seal the nation's top ranked class for 2016.

On behalf of the staff here at Land-Grant Holy Land, we would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas if you celebrate it.

National Signing Day will be here before you know it, but the events that will happen from now and then will leave everybody guessing. With the ultimate closer in Urban Meyer, look for new names to continue popping up in the Ohio State recruiting world all of the way up to Feb. 3.

Wint decommits from Temple

A newer name to Ohio State recruiting casuals is Jahsen Wint. A former teammate of current Buckeye, Curtis Samuel, Wint attends Erasmus Hall in Brooklyn, NY. Offered by Ohio State on his official visit to Columbus on Dec. 12, the 5'11, 190-pound three-star was then thought to be a lock to end up in the 2016 class. Though his Temple commitment kept that from happening then, yesterday per his Twitter account, Wint made it known that he was reopening his recruitment and decommitting from Temple.

Following his decommitment, look for Wint to pledge for Ohio State and join the nation's current top ranked 2016 recruiting class. Though it won't necessarily be today, Wint is on serious commitment watch moving forward:

Damar Hamlin trims list to 3

Damar Hamlin of Pittsburgh, PA's Central Catholic High School has been an Ohio State target since the time he was first offered by Urban Meyer and staff.

Throughout his recruiting process however there have been the highs and lows of being a Buckeye lean and then a lean toward the home town team, Pitt Panthers. Yesterday, Damar made it known via his Twitter account that the Buckeyes are still in his list of top schools as he narrowed his list down to a final three.

Accompanying the Buckeyes in his list were Penn State and once again, Pitt. This one will come down to the wire for Hamlin, but one thing that might help the Buckeyes is their obvious need for defensive backs and making Damar a major priority. With Urban Meyer and new defensive coordinator Greg Schiano, anything is possible.
