Ohio State has offered yet another committed prospect.
It was only a week ago that Ohio State sent out an offer to a committed prospect in '16 linebacker Bryce Youngquist, who is currently committed to Oklahoma. It's not all uncommon for the Buckeyes to send offers out to players they're interested in, whether or not those players are committed to a school at the time. So it shouldn't surprise too many people that Urban Meyer and his staff sent out another offer to a committed player.
This time, the offer was sent to '16 outside linebacker Mique Juarez. Juarez is currently committed to play for the USC Trojans, but seemingly hasn't ruled anything out as far as his recruitment is concerned. After all, this is hardly his first offer since committing to USC. And for good reason, as he is rated as a five-star prospect under the 247Sports Composite rankings. Juarez is also ranked as the nation's 17th best player overall, the second-best outside linebacker, and the second-best prospect at any position from the state of California.
Blessed & thankful to receive a an offer from Ohio State. Thank you Lord road to success doesn't stop here GoBucks pic.twitter.com/ZRBtEg0z5U

In addition to the offer from Ohio State and USC, Juarez holds offers from BYU, California, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Oregon State, San Diego State, UCLA, Utah, Washington, and Washington State. Having committed to the Trojans back on Jan. 18, it's not impossible to imagine a scenario where the Buckeyes come out on top in this recruitment.
After all, with an offer in place, it seems likely Juarez will use on of his five official visits on Ohio State. Especially once you consider that he's touched on the subject of the Buckeyes and always has good things to say about the team and the coaching staff in general.
Ohio State already has one linebacker committed to the class of 2016 in Tuf Borland, but it's clear they're interested in landing at least one other linebacker, if not more, considering the offer to Juarez and Youngquist.
We'll keep you up to date on any of the latest happenings in Juarez's recruitment, but in the meantime, be sure to check out this short highlight tape to get a look at what Juarez can bring to the field for the Buckeyes should he end up switching his commitment from USC to Ohio State:
For now, it seems like UCLA is the only team that threatens USC in the hunt for the flip:
