The search for the 2017 class, which could be one for the record books, continues on.

When it comes to recruiting, there may not be a better staff than Ohio State's. With the current top ranked class in 2016 and 2017, Ohio State continues to dominate on the field and on the recruiting front. Yesterday was no different as the Buckeye coaching staff sent out a new offer to a 2017 DE prospect and had communication with more of the nation's top high school athletes. As we've stated many times, when you're Ohio State, recruiting never stops.

Ohio State offers 2017 DE

Ohio State is blessed when it comes to the defensive end position. With current studs in Joey Bosa and Sam Hubbard, and future freak athletes in Joey's little brother, Nick Bosa, it's safe to say Ohio State is in good hands for the upcoming seasons. However, when you're the top program in the country, recruiting the nation's elite prospects never ends. Late last night, via his Twitter, Chase Young announced that he had been offered by the reigning national champions. In what was a huge day for Young, Ohio State was not the first, not the second, not the third, but the fourth team to offer the 2017 prospect on Thursday.

Chase hails from Hyattsville, Maryland where he plays his high school ball at DeMatha Catholic. Currently, the 6'5, 220-pound DE prospect is ranked as a top five player in his home state and the tenth overall prospect at his position in the 2017, class according to 247sports.com. With offers from the likes of Alabama, Virginia Tech, Penn State, Maryland, Iowa, Michigan State, and many more, it's easy to see why Ohio State threw their hat in the ring and offered the DE. Currently, the home state Maryland Terrapins own every prediction for the 247Sports Crystal Ball, but with major offers from Alabama and Ohio State coming in last night, look for Chase to strongly consider two of the nation's most elite programs. To see what Chase brings to the table, check out his highlights courtesy of Hudl below.

Future Buckeye hears from staff

You're probably not a recruiting nut if you don't already know who Kareem Walker is. The nation's top ranked running back prospect in the 2016 class is one of many features in the Ohio State 2016 recruiting class. The New Jersey prospect committed to Urban Meyer and the rest of the Ohio State football program during halftime of the national championship game and since then, has given Ohio State nothing but reasons to look forward to seeing Walker in the Scarlet and Gray on Saturdays in Columbus. A recruit with the star power Walker possesses brings so much excitement to Buckeye fans all over. So when Walker decided to visit Arizona State, questions and fear of losing Walker presented themselves.

However, Kareem remains solid to the Buckeyes and is still trying to graduate ahead of schedule so he can enroll early at The Ohio State University and get a head start to his football career with the Buckeyes. Late last evening, Kareem took to his Twitter and let Buckeye Nation know that communication with the staff and himself continues every so often. Ohio State can continue to look forward to the running back position remaining elite with the nation's best.

Interesting talk with Coach Meyer and Coach Alford. #GoBuck #Shhhh #Zone6
