Two recruits, including a three-star OLB out of Michigan, will be attending the Ohio State - Maryland game this weekend.

Urban Meyer and the Ohio State Buckeyes have plenty of reasons to want a big win this weekend when the Maryland Terrapins come to Columbus. The team is looking to change the tone of a somewhat disappointing season and prove to both the fans and the media that it can meet expectations.

A strong showing will be even more important because '17 three-star OLB Antjuan Simmons, out of Ann Arbor, Michigan, will be in attendance for Saturday's game.

Simmons has had a busy last three days, receiving offers from both Michigan State and Arizona State. Rated as the No. 12 player out of Michigan, according to 247Sports, Simmons now has an impressive list of 22 suitors. He holds offers from the majority of schools in the Big Ten and others such as LSU, Texas A&M and Notre Dame.

The Irish and home-town teams Michigan and Michigan State are the current favorites to land the 6'1" 205-pounder, but witnessing a strong performance by the Silver Bullets in The Shoe can be convincing. Offered just two weeks ago, Saturday will be Simmons' first visit to Ohio State.

OSU gets early start recruiting '18 WR Smith

Proving that it is never too early to begin the recruiting process, Ohio State will be hosting another recruit for this week's game in '18 WR L'Christian "Blue" Smith of Dayton, Ohio. Smith, who played his first season of varsity football last year, has yet to receive an offer from the Buckeyes, but having already piqued the curiosity of Urban Meyer and WR coach Zach Smith after just one season of high school football speaks volumes about his potential.

The Buckeyes have had a lot successful football players come out of Huber Heights (Ohio) Wayne High School, including current fan favorite Braxton Miller and former Buckeye great Will Allen. Smith looks to have the talent and athletic ability to follow in those enormous footsteps and Ohio State, despite an early start in recruiting the 6'5" 200-pound WR, already has some stiff competition.

Smith received his first and only current offer in September from the University of Kentucky and visited Michigan State last week. However, one would have to think Smith will enjoy watching how Meyer utilizes Miller, who graduated from Smith's high school five years ago.

George Hill reaffirms his commitment to Ohio State

There has been plenty of speculation surrounding '16 four-star RB George Hill's commitment to the Buckeyes. Back in August, the recruiting team at Land-Grant Holy Land wrote about our thoughts for the upcoming recruiting season for Ohio State, and all of us mentioned Hill as being the most likely current commit to decommit from the Buckeyes.

On Thursday, Hill did his best to make us, and a lot of other people, look stupid when Bill Greene of Scout.com tweeted Hill's stance on his commitment.
