Will the Buckeyes set a new record for number of first round picks?

There are 31 first round draft picks in the 2016 NFL Draft, and so far, 25 prospects have accepted their invitations to attend the main event in Chicago. With just over two weeks until the first round, the first set of attendees include several big name Buckeyes including: Joey Bosa, Ezekiel Elliott, Darron Lee, Taylor Decker and Eli Apple.

These former Ohio State players have each made headlines following either their NFL Combine performances and/or their pro day workouts. Since then, they've been traveling across the country, participating in one-on-one workouts and meeting with NFL coaches and scouts, in hopes of hearing their name called early on in the draft.

Several teams, including the Dallas Cowboys and Tennessee Titans, even made their way to Columbus to maximize their time and meet with several potential draft picks at once. With so much talent, Urban Meyer -- who will be in attendance for the big event -- is hoping to break the school's current record of five players taken in the first round of the draft, from back in 2006.

These five Buckeyes will head to Chicago with their families -- and teammates -- in hopes of hearing their name called on April 28. There is still time for others to formally accept their invitation, and could add to the number of Buckeyes making their way to a life-changing event.
