Ohio State QB Cardale Jones heading to the Bills in hopes of being a franchise quarterback

Jones is ready to make his mark in the league with a bit of a chip on his shoulder.
It came a year later than some expected, but Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones had his name called in the NFL Draft. The Bills took Jones with the No. 139 pick in the fourth round. Jones' arm strength, along with his other numerous pro football intangibles makes him an easy pick, and somebody who could develop into a formidable NFL quarterback.
Jones really burst onto the scene late in 2014, after he came in to lead the Buckeyes when J.T. Barrett fell to injury against the Michigan Wolverines. Jones would end up leading the Buckeyes to three of the biggest wins in school history, and the first ever College Football Playoff National Championship.
He really impressed at the NFL Combine with his throwing ability, but had his visit cut short after tweaking his hamstring running the 40-yard dash. Regardless, teams were still interested in Jones, and his skills were attractive to many, despite having just a handful of experience in games as a Buckeye.
Jones didn't put up the biggest numbers, but he possesses the body and skills of a pro-quarterback. Along with having a cannon for an arm, he has a great touch to go along with it, and can drop in a pass where it needs to be. Under the right leadership, Jones should be able to develop his skills at the next level.
