Up Next
The Buckeyes will return to conference play when they hit the road to travel to Madison, Wis., Friday for a 3 p.m. ET match with Wisconsin. Ohio State will also face No. 20 Minnesota at 1 p.m. ET Sunday. The Scarlet and Gray are 39-32 all-time vs. the Badgers and 25-38 against the Golden Gophers. Head coach Ty Tucker is an undefeated 20-0 when facing Wisconsin and 12-3 vs. Minnesota.
Three very tough matches this week, Wed. vs. #28 Notre Dame, Friday at Camp Randall and the always tough Badgers, and finally Sunday at #20 Minnesota. Bucks could gain some strong computer points this week, but if they are not sharp would lose even more in the seedings race for the NCAA's.
The ITA will release their weekly rankings today.
The computer points will be tallied for team, single's and double's rankings.
Will try to post those when they go public.
Go Bucks, beat the Irish!

Saving the best for last, the ITA released their weekly team rankings, and the Ohio State University actually improved in the position from the rankings released last week. With wins over then #12 Kentucky, #60 Michigan State, and #23 TSUN, the Buckeyes garnered enough computer points to jump over the Trojans of USC into second in the rankings! :highfive:

IU most be playing a soft schedule to have such a solid record and not be appearing in the top ten. That will be a big one on the 22nd....good to see we get them at home.

But..that is for another day. Today? GO BUCKS, BEAT THE IRISH!

Hoosiers have done well so far. Indiana's losses have all been to fairly strong teams, #13 U Kentucky, #3 USC, #26 Oklahoma, and #29 Vandy.
They also have some fairly impressive wins on their resume, #36 BYU, #27 TSUN, #17 Illinois, #24 Minnesota, and last Sunday at Wisconsin.
They have to be the surprise of the Big Ten thus far and the only challenge left for them appears to be the "title" match you mention on Good Friday.
Bucks need to be sharp today, Irish have some crafty veterans and will be seeking the big upset at The Stick.

Spring Signing Week '11: Diaz Fulfills Lifelong Dream as Buckeye

Blue chip Christopher Diaz narrowed down his college choices to his hometown team and his father's alma mater. In the end, he opted to stay at home in Columbus and be part of Ohio State's athletics, whose tradition of sports excellence he has known for as long as he can remember.
"I've always been a huge Buckeyes fan and I love everything about the school," Diaz said. "It just has everything for me and I really like the coach and the team. I've always loved them for a long time so I could picture myself going there." He chose Ohio over Brown, where his father played tennis.

Ohio State fans span the nation, but for those who grow up in Columbus, being a "Buckeye nut" is a birthright and Diaz is no exception.
He did, however, think things through very carefully. He considered the school's academics heavily as he intends to pursue a medical career. He wants to make sure he gets a solid foundation in college that will help him achieve his plans. "School comes first," he explained. But that hasn't stopped Diaz from pushing himself in tennis and achieving what only a handful have done so. He is currently the top-ranked player in his section and had consistently outstanding results throughout his junior career. . . .

In 2010, Diaz replayed the same awesome feeling when he won the individual state championship with a stellar 31-0 record. He defeated Joey Fritz, now an Amherst freshman, in the finals. "Chris is the most talented tennis player that I've coached in my 18 seasons here, and he may be the best player who has ever come through Watterson," Coach Barb Woods told ThisWeekSports.com after Diaz won. "He's tennis smart. He knows where to place the ball and he's consistent. He never gets rattled."

Congratulations Christopher!
