The No. 1 Ohio State men’s tennis team maintained their undefeated record at 8-0 with a 4-0 victory over No. 10 Kentucky at the Ty Tucker Tennis Center. The Buckeyes are 3-0 against Top 10 teams on the season and face another top ranked opponent in No. 6 Wake Forest on Sunday.

This is Ohio State’s third 4-0 sweep of a Top 10 team in a span of one week and their seventh sweep on the season.

The Buckeyes (8-0) are yet to drop a doubles point on the year and came out with a sweep to clinch the first point of the day. The No. 1 ranked doubles team Matej Vocel and Robert Cash finished first on court one with a quick 6-3 victory. The duo of Cannon Kingsley and JJ Tracy finished next on court three with a tough fought 6-3 win over the 57th ranked doubles team in the country to seal the doubles point.

Singles matches were a battle that still ended in a clean sweep with JJ Tracy finishing first on court three after a decisive 6-1, 6-3 win. Cannon Kingsley followed on court one with a tough fought 6-2, 6-4 straight sets win to boost the Buckeye lead to 3-0. On court six, Robert Cash sealed the Buckeye victory with his 6-1, 6-4 straight sets win. Though unfinished, Jake Van Emburgh held strong against the No. 5 ranked singles player in the country, Gabriel Diallo, and was leading 7-6 (5), 2-2.
