The Bucks take a huge dubs point in finals of kickoff regional vs UNC
Wins at #2 Vocel and Cash and #3 line with Kingsley and Tracy.
Will need to find 3 singles to defeat UNC and advance to the championship in February.

What's up with Jake Van Emburgh?

You are Spot on re dubs point, and like you Script, i am also loving the top 2 dubs teams in the nation play for the good guys!!!
Still grieving the 4 losses from last year ITA kickoff, 2021 conference, B1G championship final… and the NCAA round of 16.
Last year each loss happened when Bucks dropped the dubs point, got into a hole against Virginia, TCU, Illinois and TSUN and couldn’t find 4 singles points to close out the match.

Re. Van Emburgh, he had been playing on the 3rd singles court but I haven’t heard why he was missing this last weekend.
I hope he can return when #1 Tennessee and #6 UVA visit Columbus Feb 4 and 6.
I wonder if he and Kingsley would be a stronger 3 dubs team than CK and Tracy
but Tucker opted for Kingsley and Tracy on 3rd court this weekend and they came through vs UNC.

Coach Tucker has been playing Cash/Vocel on the 2 line and Trotter and Boulais at #1 dubs.
Against UNC it appeared the Tar Heels stronger dubs team #20 ranked in ITA was on the 2 line, so who knows..

The OSU team page has been updated by College Tennis Ranks site, including team rankings, schedules and player UTR singles rankings.
The Universal tennis rating is a highly respected formula for measuring past record and predicting future results.
Buckeyes are ranked #4 as a team by CTR site but have the 2nd best accumulative UTR behind Florida.
Top seven UTRs on the OSU team and ITA ranking from last fall are:

#5 Matej Vocel ………….. 13.81.
#95 Robert Cash ……….. 13.48.

the ITA website has a coach’s poll for team rankings but soon the computer algorithm will kick in with a new set of team rankings based on quality wins/losses.
Ita will also release its new singles and dubs computer rankings Feb 9.
