The Buckeyes will be hard to beat for the commitment of four-star safety Bubba Bolden.

Bubba Bolden (Las Vegas, NV / Bishop Gorman) is the hot name in Ohio State recruiting. The four-star safety already has connections to the program, as three of current teammates have already committed to the Buckeyes. Also, he is coming off a highly anticipated official visit that couldn’t have gone any better.

Bolden was in attendance for the dominant performance Ohio State displayed in its win over Nebraska last weekend. In what was a crucial recruiting weekend for Urban Meyer’s program, the team excelled on both sides of the ball en route to a 62-3 victory Saturday night.

The experience has seemed to have left a great impression on both Bolden and his parents, who made the trip to Columbus with him. Bolden’s mother took to Twitter Monday to express how she felt about Ohio State.

1st Official is a wrap but will be hard for any school to top. OSU is amazing and the 62-3 W didn't hurt either. pic.twitter.com/5QwEbjJny9

This certainly bodes well for Meyer and the Buckeyes, who seem to be well in the lead for one of the top 80 recruits in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound safety has shown the potential to be a playmaker at the college level. Because of this, Ohio State is not alone in his recruitment. Bolden has received scholarship offers from some of the best programs out there including USC, Arizona State, Michigan, Oregon, Texas A&M, Louisville, Washington, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Florida, Oklahoma and plenty of others.

Bolden is quickly becoming the top-player on Ohio State’s big board, and the coaches aren’t the only ones working on getting him to commit. Bolden’s current teammate, and current Buckeye verbal commit, Tyjon Lindsey took to Twitter in an effort to recruit him.

Lindsey started a movement Monday afternoon when he resurfaced the hashtag #BUBBAtoOSU. His tweet was retweeted more than 100 times and was favorited more than 300 times in just six hours.

LETS GET THIS HASHTAG BOOMING AGAIN! #BUBBAtoOSU ‼️ ️- -ℹ️-

If this wasn’t enough, it also seems another recruit on the Bishop Gorman to Ohio State trail, four-star QB Tate Martell, might have dropped a subtle tweet in an effort to convince Bolden.

If you want...

Great college atmosphere
Best coaching staff
A brotherhood
Unbelievable fans & alumni
Make it to the NFL

Come to OSU! ️

It is being reported that Bolden expects to use at least one more of his five allocated official visits with USC, so don’t expect a commitment anytime soon - unless something drastically changes. However, it seems like the Buckeyes are sitting pretty when it comes to bolstering their already top-rated 2017 recruiting class.

Quick Hits

  • Jackson Carman (Fairfield, OH / Fairfield) added another big-time suitor to his list Monday when LSU offered him a scholarship. The five-star OT is arguably the Buckeyes main priority in the 2018 class.
  • K’vaughan Pope (Dinwiddie, VA / Dinwiddie) received an offer from Ohio State. For the class of 2018 prospect, it is his 18th offer. Stick with Land-Grant Holy Land as we’ll give you the latest in the recruitment of Pope to OSU.
