A home loss against Michigan State drops the Buckeyes in this week's poll.

The Ohio State Buckeyes came in at No. 8 in this week's College Football Playoff Top 25, after suffering a home loss at the hands of the Michigan State Spartans.

Clemson, Alabama, and Iowa make up three of the Top 4 of the the rankings this week with Oklahoma a surprise inclusion at No. 3. Clemson had a 20-point win over Wake Forest in Death Valley this past Saturday. They will face South Carolina in their regular season finale in Columbia.

Alabama played the Buccaneers of Charleston Southern, and won by a score of 56-6. The Tide will finish off their regular season in the famed Iron Bowl against Auburn on the road. Alabama has won three of the past four meetings between the two schools.

Iowa will play their last game before the Big Ten Championship game Friday night against Nebraska in Lincoln. The Hawkeyes will face either Michigan State, Michigan, or Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship.

Notre Dame, who fell to No. 6, had a less than impressive 19-16 victory over Boston College in South Bend this past weekend, and will wrap up their regular season against Stanford on the road. It will be one of the bigger tests for Notre Dame this season. A win at Stanford would be the Irish's biggest win for the season.

Ohio State was ranked No. 6 at this time last year. With the College Football Playoff still in its infancy, it will be interesting to see how thing shape up in the next few weeks for all teams involved.
