Alright, it’s actually refreshing to hear this. No canned BS from Coach Hartline. Admits last week was tough - at least it was Big Ten week and not a playoff (or NC) week.

Hope he gets the USF duties out of the way this week and it can be full-go.

I know his heart would love to go out with one more piece of Buckeye hardware.

The smile as he’s talking showed how last week really didn’t matter.

Hartline is in essence working two jobs, one as Buckeye OC, and the other putting together his next stop at USF. Pretty late in the game to affect new players, but he's got to put together a coaching staff, no? Haven't heard of him poaching any coaches from tOSU, or that he's keeping all of those currently at USF. (Not certain whether current staff is following former coach elsewhere?). If they are, then he's beating the bushes for someone who's got their stuff together, and help him as the new HC. Hi, I'm Brian Hartline, the new HC at USF. Wanna come down and coach with me? First time in the big chair, and he's trying to gather some people that will help him keep his job...Yeah, might be a bit distracting.

Someone else said it first, Day might be better served by cutting Brian loose. For him, AND the Buckeyes going forward.
