OC/WR Coach Brian Hartline (National Champion, HC at USF, Buckeye OC for this postseason)

Which Buckeye had the greatest impact on the Ohio State history of the position he played?

  • Brian Hartline

It's ideal timing if he's destined to be the next HC after Day, or the guy after Day, to get experience. Get two consecutive good seasons in and rip the band-aid off and start that process.

plus announcing it today to me says the conversations with the recruits was ongoing and they were honest and up front about it

I doubt this was a surprise for anyone in the WHAC.

That said, who do you go after? Real question.
There's a pretty obvious playcalling solution to go back to...

There are zero solutions to replace the greatest position recruiter in the history of CFB. That said, if your staff gets better at recruiting DL and worse at WR, you come out ahead.

"worse" at WR recruiting for us is likely going to be what most of the country would still kill for.

Day’s offense is fueled by being dominant at WR (at least to my eye).

The WR recruiting and development just took a huge hit. Almost a zero sum game. He will be taking away what he used to get for us.

Ugh. Knew it was coming someday but hate it.
