New Orleans Saints (official thread)

Well they're definitely heading to San Antonio as a practice facility.

Baton Rouge would be best, probably, but they'd have to work out something with LSU and I'm not sure how much damage they have there. Shreveport is another option, although it only holds 53,000.

Otherwise, it's San Antonio Saints

LSU's stadium in Baton Rouge is doing some reconstruction right now. They're still using it for Tiger games, but a section is closed off. I don't know if also having NFL games there would delay their schedule at all.

A lot of places seem to be more than willing to help out logistically, not only for the Saints but for the college teams as well. Even if they have to bounce around, I anticipatw they will certainly find somewhere to play, and will be a sentimental favorite this year. Hell, I'll be rooting for them.

Everything that I have heard says the Saints will be playing in San Antonio. As already stated, their practice facility is in Texas to which they will be returning after their last preseason game in Oakland this week.

Luckily, the Saints have only one home game scheduled in September (on the 18th against the Giants). However, in October there are three home games, so if things aren't fixed in the Superdome and NO by then, most likely they will be the San Antonio Saints for this year.

I heard that Columbus is looking for a team ever since the Panhandles loaded up and moved in the middle of the night!!

Where will fans come from?

shreveport is a terrible idea, for many reasons, the least of which is probably the 53,000 capacity. The owner of the saints is from san antonio and i think that makes the most sense

As catastophic as it is in SE LO can they even expect to get 53,000 attendence??

Jimmy Graham done jumping in stands after The Joker grabs his butt

On Sunday, the Saints tight end instead lept into the Superdome crowd following one of his two scores, which lead to this:

That's right, not only was Graham felt up, he was felt up by The Joker. But that's the last time.

“That'll probably be my last one after I got groped up,” Graham said, via NOLA.com's Evan Woodbery. “It was a moment in the game and I just wanted to go and thank all the fans for being there. Some people were trying to thank me a little too much…that'll be the last one for me.”

Turns out, The Joker is actually 43-year-old Scott McGowan, and he can explain what happened.

“I went for what I could grab,” he told The Advocate's Ramon Antonio Vargas. “Everything else was taken, so I took what I could get.” McGowan added, presumably while stifling a laugh: “I officially know now that (Graham) is a tight end.
