Smooth Olaf
Checking out Channel 9, man.
It's that time, again. Time to sign up for the 6th Annual PS3 Online Dynasty. If you have participated in previous iterations, you'll know what to expect. If you are new, you are more than welcome. Just be sure you read and understand the rules. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them. If you wish to participate in the dynasty, leave your PSN Name here. I'll edit this post as more people sign up.
I'm hoping the EA has fixed the bugs that ended last year's dynasty in its tracks. We'll see.
The league won't begin until there is a roster update available. That usually takes about a week. I'll then add in my own edits (Buckeye roster-corrects, transfers, and any other aesthetic changes I know need changed at the time.)

1. Settings (Subject to change):
7 Minute Quarters
All-American Setting
Default Sliders to start, but in all likelihood will be adjusted (I'm looking at you, Human Pass Rush and CPU Kicking)
Coaching Carousel: Off
Home Field Advantage: On, for now.
Icing the Kicker: Off
Injuries: On
Fatigue: On
Penalties: Default
Speed: Lowered to 40 to start. I'll change it if I have to.
2. Two advances per week. I will usually advance around 7:00 pm EST. If I post "I'm advancing tonight," assume that means I'll advance at 7:00 pm EST tonight. I'll post a time if it's different. In other words, don't see the, "I'm advancing tonight," post and then wonder what happened when you log on at 10pm. If you need me to hold up, LET ME KNOW. I'll wait. I don't mind just as long as you give me a head's up.
3. During the off-season, I'll advance nightly at 7:00 pm EST until I reach the pre-season. When in the pre-season, I'll post everybody's upcoming schedule. If you have bitches, gripes, or complaints, then is the time to let me know. I can't change your schedule once the season starts. I'll give as hard or as easy a non-conference CPU opponent as you want, but you need to let me know. If I don't hear any requests, I'll assume you're satisfied with your schedule and advance to the regular season.
4. NO CHEESING. Do what you want against the CPU. However, against humans, it's straight-up play. I've played just about everybody in these leagues multiple times. Everybody's beaten me and I've beaten everybody. Without keeping stats, I'd guess my winning percentage against other users is around 50%. This is what, for me, makes the league fun. Do not run the same money plays over and over against humans. If you feel your opponent is cheesing, make sure you tell me about it. If you're exploiting a problem with the game's AI, and you know it, you're cheesing.
5. Position Changes: Players with 90+ speed MAY NOT be moved to FB or TE unless that's their original position. For a move to TE, the player must be at least 6'4" and 230lbs. If you have a special request, (Your guy is strong as hell, his blocking ratings are high, and it's a common sense move), let me know. I'll take a look and say yay or nay. This rule is to keep people from doing something like changing their slot receiver to tight end so that they can exploit their opponent.
6. Human v. Human Frequency: As long as the numbers allow it, everybody will play three human opponents per season. You'll play your conference opponent and two non-conference users. If, for some reason, the schedule doesn't pit you against a human conference opponent, I may give you a third non-conference human. Also, some of you will be in conferences with championship games. In all likelihood, that'll end up being a fourth user v. user game. Including Bowl games, you're looking at ideally four or five human v. human games per year.
7. If You're Scared, Say You're Scared: People will drop out as the dynasty advances. When this happens, I'll call in the stealth helicopters to deliver swift justice. Thankfully, I can adjust the conferences to make them even.
8. Team selection: Players can choose 4* teams that aren't ranked or any 3* and below team. I like how it went last year starting with 4* teams. We actually got to use recruits. I was thinking about bumping it up to 5* teams, but that may be too high.
9. AVAILABLE TEAMS: TBD
10. Custom Playbooks: Have at it. Enjoy. JUST DON'T CHEESE. If you're coming at me with nothing but quads and trips left, I'm going to be displeased.
11: TeamBuilder: If you want to use a TeamBuilder team instead of a listed team, that's fine. You'll be moved to the end of the draft. Your created team must match the exact roster ratings, recruiting ratings, coach ratings, and everything of the school it's replacing. Two years ago I used a TB team in Iron's dynasty and took UL-Lafayette's (or Monroe's) place. I had my uniform, stadium, and home state for my TB team. My rosters were TB's UL-Lafayette rosters with generated names. I kept UL-L's school prestige, recruiting pitch rankings, and everything else. Basically, I was UL-L with different aesthetics.
These rules will be updated. When I do, I'll edit this post, and I'll let you know what I edited (outside of correcting typos, grammar, changing question marks into apostrophes, etc.).
Again, if you'd like to participate, please post your PSN in this thread. I'll post the team draft order sometime this weekend.
