My DVR crashed last night

Yes, I know it's not 'Talk like a pirate day' any more.

I'm just so pissed that my DVR crashed. I spoke with the DishNetwork folks and they said it's shot, and they're sending me a new one. And no, I can't retrieve the programs I had saved on the HD. That SUCKS!!!

The ones that hurt the most to lose:

    '04 scUM
    '05 scUM
    '06 ND Fiesta Bowl

    Fucking technology.

Thanks for the tip, jwins. I'm clueless about bittorrent, so I'll have to look into that.
everything you need to know is here on this board somewhere, try searching here, good information and its what you need to know, nothing else. If i find it i'll post a link

Yeah man, tell me about it. My DVR is busted and I can't record any games for a while (untill I get a new video card...do'h). Here are links:

    My Divx Torrents

    Timbuck2's DVD Torrents

Instructions for how to download them are on the front page. My divx torrents are smaller file size so its a faster download, but it's really more suited for those that watch the games on their computer and want to make highlight reel clips. Timbuck2's dvd's are just that - you download a dvd image and you burn it onto a (gasp!) dvd. The divx torrents don't require you to burn it onto a dvd to watch it, where as the dvd torrents more or less do require you to have a burner. (You can watch the dvd games w/o a burner but its a little tricky). Also, Timbuck2's DVD's are the highest quality imaginable, so if you're building up a DVD archive this is the way to go.

Maybe these links should be made more visible?

DVR technology has a long way to go... I've had several DVR's and have had several different problems... LG, Phillips, a Time Warner DVR.... bottlom line is that you are basically dealing with a computer... and crashes are common problems.
