I need some help (in more ways than one). How do you put multiple quotes in your posts? Also, when giving reputation, how do you add the smilies? Thanks.

Do you mean nesting the quotes, or do you mean

quote -

response

quote -

response?

The latter is easy. Even if you quote a whole message and then wish to subdivide.

Just make sure that each part of the original message you want to respond toward is opened and closed with the correct quote tags. When subdividing a whole message, a la bgrad and StadiumDorm's political to and fros you can just copy the entire open tag and place it next to the start of the next quoted portion. Copy the close quote tag and place it before the newly placed open quote tag. Copy the new pair of close then open tagsa and paste them at the right point in the copied message body. Best to put a hard return after each close quote tag so you can fill in your thoughts. Voila - multiple quotes and responses.

Smilies - If you open up the full list of smilies ("More" link) you will see text associated with each smiley - thus a wink can be written as :wink2 : - without spaces between colon and the word wink2. Thus :wink2:

BTW, this also works for spicing up rep fields.

If you are talking about a quote inside a quote, I all you have to do is nest your [ quote ] [ /quote ] statements (tags are like what I just wrote but without the spaces). I broke your message into quoted quotes for a sample.
