Mmmmmm....tasty chili!

Buckin' A

Veritas Aequitas
I just made my first pot of chili of the winter. Ingredients include:

2 pounds of venison
2 packets of hot chili seasoning
1/2 chopped onion
2 cans of kidney beans
1 can of diced tomatoes
2 cans of tomato juice
1 jar of hot salsa

I had forgotten how good this shit is with oyster crackers and shredded cheddar cheese. Since it is so tasty, i will give each BP member one vbowl as a token of vfriendship.

Regular Chili
-brown 1.5-2 lbs of burger
-drain the grease when the meat is about half done and throw in around a cup of diced onion
-when meat is done dump in 2 cans of chili beans
-add a large can of diced tomatoes, and a large can of crushed tomatoes
-add a can of black beans if you like them.
-add chili powder and hot sauce to taste.

White Chicken Chili
-boil off a medium sized chicken, cool, and pull meat from bone.
-save 4-8 cups of broth and put back in pot with chicken pieces.
-add 1-2 packets of McCormick White Chicken Chili seasoning depending on how big of a batch you are making. If you are around 5 quarts use 2.
-add 2 or 3 cans of white kidney beans
-add a dash of chili powder to taste

Basic Black Bean Chili....I like to jazz mine up a bit with chopped green chili peppers.
Add sliced avocado on top and or tomato.

Black Bean Chili with Beef
Quick and easy, this black bean chili is a one-dish meal.
1/2 pound lean ground beef
1 large onion, diced
2 (15-ounce) cans black beans
1 (28-ounce) can tomato puree
1 (15-ounce) can corn, drained
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

 1. Preheat a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Brown beef until no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Drain.
 2. Add onion and saut? until soft, about 5 minutes. Add beans (undrained), tomato pur?e, corn, chili powder, cumin and pepper. Bring to a boil, cover and lower heat; simmer gently for 10 minutes until thoroughly heated.
Makes 6 servings.
