Well, now. Yesterday, I did a Player Profile on Mickey Mitchell. According to new news, courtesy of Cleveland.com’s Bill Landis, Mitchell has not been cleared to play by the NCAA yet. Per Landis:
Ohio State announced on Tuesday that freshman forward Mickey Mitchell has not been cleared by the NCAA Eligibility Center to play for the Buckeyes basketball team.
In a statement, athletic director Gene Smith said Mitchell can still practice with the Buckeyes, but cannot play until the issue with the NCAA is resolved.
