  • The Buckeyes go on the road in the Big 10 for the first time this season with a visit to East Lansing to battle the Michigan State Spartans. Game times are as follows for the four game set:

    Friday, April 11th 5:00 pm
    Sat, April 12th 1:00 pm
    Sat, April 12th 3:00 pm
    Sun, April 13th 1:00 pm

    The first game can be heard on the internet at Ohiostatebuckeyes.com

    The final three games will be on 920 AM WMNI in Columbus.

    COLUMBUS, Ohio - Time to hit the road again. Ohio State, coming off an 11-game homestand that featured seven wins including a split with Penn State and a series win over Minneosta (but ended with a 4-2 loss to Central Michigan Wednesday), travels to East Lansing for its first road series of the season. Weather permitting - the forecast is for some rain, possibly snow and nothing close to the 60-degree days we?ve experienced of late - the teams will play at Oldsmobile Park at 5:05 p.m. Friday with 1:05 p.m. starts Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
    Ohio State enters the series with a 16-10 overall record and a 5-3 mark in the Big Ten Conference. Michigan State comes in at 12-14 overall and 3-5 in the Big Ten.

    mania is right, the Buckeyes won in the 11th on a pinch hit homer by Ryan Dew. Hale did indeed pitch 10 innings (!) scattering 9 hits and only giving up 3 runs (2 earned) to get the win. Eric Best pitched the 11th for the save. Games 2 and 3 will be tommorrow starting at 1:00 pm in East Lansing.

    Buckeyes split Sunday doubleheader with MSU

    COLUMBUS, Ohio ? Ohio State and Michigan split a pair of one run games Sunday at Oldsmobile Park: the Buckeyes winning the first, 5-4, and MSU taking the second, 1-0, in eight innings. With the split, Ohio State wins the series, 2-1, and improves its record to 18-11 overall and 7-4 in the Big Ten Conference. Michigan State is 13-16 overall and 4-7 in the Big Ten. All three games in the series were decided by one run.
    Starters J.B. Shuck for Ohio State and Chris Cullen for Michigan State were in control throughout Game 2. Cullen allowed just one hit and two batters to reach base through five innings. Ryan Dew had a single to right in the fifth.
