By his own admission, Kelly Baraka wasn't ready for the intense heat of the spotlight. It just took him six painful years to realize it.
His introspection, though ongoing, has provided some answers for the 24-year-old. The only way to free himself of his past, he says, is by facing it head on.
``I don't really have much of a problem talking about this,'' Baraka said, ``because where there's truth, there's light.''
The truth is Baraka will never fully regain the football opportunity that stood in front of him before the once-prized recruit from Portage Northern High School was dismissed from the University of Michigan's program because he couldn't shake his affinity for marijuana.
