The Redhawks are 13-14 on the year, pending a contest against the Indiana Hoosiers on Tuesday. The RedHawks and Buckeyes are playing for the first time since 2006 and have just 10 meetings in the last 47 years. OSU has won six straight with the last four games being played in Columbus. The first contest was played in 1920.

The Redhawk's rpi is around 200, but they are much, much better than that.

They have some pop in their lineup, and they run very well. Outside of Kent, the Hawks pitching staff might be the best in the state.

One big problem..they stink in the field. And while they have a couple of guys who can really rake, there are plenty of outs in their lineup.

Good news for us is that they played and beat Indiana tonight 6-1, so they will be down 2 pitchers.

The Buckeyes started up where they left off last year - losing to a MAC school mid-week

    From the Official Site

COLUMBUS, Ohio- The Miami Redhawks scored runs in five of the first six innings and went on to defeat Ohio State, 12-4, Wednesday before 912 fans at Bill Davis Stadium. The win was Miami's second in two days over a Big Ten team, as it defeated Indiana, 6-1, Tuesday in Oxford. Miami is now 15-14 on the year while Ohio State drops to 10-12.
None of the players on the Ohio State and Miami baseball teams were on their team the last time these two met five years ago, but the Redhawk players played as if they had something prove against their intrastate rival. They collected 13 hits. They stole five bases, including three by Ryan Brenner. They homered twice and they got a solid 5.0 innings from starting pitcher Ryan Meyers.
The Buckeyes, meanwhile, managed just five hits against five Miami hurlers and committed five errors.
