LSU Baseball (official thread)

Through 24 games (with 32 reg season games remaining) Dylan Crews has 26 BBs (also 4 HBP) with only 12Ks. Last season he had 42 BBs (with 13 HBPs) & 56Ks. MOST MLB players don't come close to those types of balanced numbers, then of course add his HR power, RBI ability, and DEF coverage in CF and wow!

I have never seen a player quite like this at LSU, and we've had some good ones over the years.

Little has had 5 starts this season, but most have come after pitching in a game earlier in the week.

Starts:
Lamar (3/8) after pitching vs. Central Connecticut (3/5).
Grambling (3/28) after pitching vs. Arkansas (3/24).
Nicholls (4/4) and was the projected starter vs USCe (4/8).
Kentucky (4/15) after pitching vs. Tulane (4/11).

Do you think Jay starts to treat Little as the full-time G3 starter and give him a full week of starter's "rest"?

If so, who gets the midweek starts?

I think we'll see him basically stick to the way he's gone the last few weeks.
Little really isn't good for more than about 40-50 pitches at a time.

Hurd unfortunately is regressing the deeper this season goes.

Edwards is likely done for the season (not officially announced)
Shores is rumored to be the same.
We keep hearing "Ackenhousen is getting close" and "we'll see Javen Coleman soon"

that's 4 crucial arms.
Copper is our only true middle innings guy

Gavin Guidry seems to be the closer.
Really need Floyd to find a way to stretch another inning or two each week.
