Well I get back from vacation and this is the first headline. Terrible. I think as a nation we can all relate to the feelings we had when we were attacked. My thoughts and prayers go out to the great people of Britain and this reinforces need for annihilation of al qaeda. I spoke to a Brit in 2002 when I was at St Peters in Rome and he asked me how America was doing after 9/11. When we finished our conversation he shook my hand and said "Americans and Brits". I see it that way too.

That is terrible. Unfortunately, it was probably only a matter of time. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the deceased, wounded and all of England.

It does sound like it may not have been al qaeda based on an early report Scotland Yard had received warnings prior to the blast. It may have easily been a group sympathetic to them.

Two confirmed deaths and at least 90 injured at one location have already been reported.

This is from an AP report found here:

A Web site posting said the blasts were the work of a group calling itself the "Secret Organization of al-Qaida in Europe."

No such group had previously been reported and the claim could not be verified. The claim did not appear on any of the Web sites normally used by al-Qaida.

I just read a report on CNN.com which said that at least two dozen dead, and 160 injured. They also said that there were probably more dead still in some of the subway cars.

God, this stuff makes me angry. I honestly hope that someday these bastards (bin laden in particular) will be caught and slowly, painfully, and gruesomely killed.

Sadly the toll continues to rise -- news reports have anywhere from 4 -- 20 deaths many more seriously injured. Doubt we will know full extent of the suffering for several days.

Though this attack was likely from an al-quaeda sympathist group their only "victory" beyond the immediate deaths and injuries is the short-term disruption of Londoner's ability to move at will within the city. They can be certain of one outcome for which they never likely wished. A steeling of the British people's resolve to see through their commitment to seek and snuff out those responsible for 9/11, along with their sympathizers and parasitic pawns around the globe

the time has come that we tell everyone with a towel on their head that they are going to die, then give them 24 hours and then just bomb the fuck out of the entire middle east without aiming for specific targets. FUCK 'EM ALL

Too bad other religions use towels on their heads too.

Love the ignorance...
