Yes, it was 3-1 last game. But if Liverpool outscores Chelsea in the second half, they advance.

Aurelio scored on a free kick to the near post that Cech didn't get a hand on. Then Alonso got a PK when a call was made on a takedown in the box when another free kick was on its way to the goal - looked like a legit call to me - the defender pulled his man down from behind to stop him from getting to the ball in a very dangerous area near the six.

Woof,

The game started to get chippy after the PK as Chelsea was looking for a call to go there way and wasn't getting it. The last 10 minutes of the game was more even, too, so the 2nd half should be awesome. Torres also had a pretty good chance early on as well. I will be rooting for Liverpool as I just don't like Chelsea (though Arsenal w/ my boy Fabregas is the team for which I really support in the EPL and of the surviving teams Champions League).

I can only hope the goalie in my game on Sunday gets as single-minded as Cech did on the free kick.

There were two defenders on the guy, and they let him make a cross about 1 yard from the byline.

Now 2-2, after a free kick was rocketed in.

This game is ridiculous.

2-2

A give-away from Liverpool on their half and some good passing lead to a 3-2 Chelsea lead.

A deflection of a shot from outside the 18 3-3.

Liverpool scores again to 4-3.

6 minutes plus injury time for Liverpool to get a score to send them through to the next opponent.
