Lions on this one, big money too. Chicago might have the worst offensive line in the league this year, just beating out the Chiefs and Rams craptastic lines. The mad scientist hasnt done anything since his days in STL and he will not revert to his better days in Chicago. Cutler is not a timing guy, which is what this offense calls for. Forte YPC is below 4 and he doesnt have the skill set to create his own holes behind that putrid line. Chester Taylor is gimpy and unreliable at this point which is a shame given the line. Chicago has been running three wide sets with a blocking TE as they are trying to trade Olsen. Best player on the trading block, you would figure he would figure out a way to use him. The WRs are marginal at best.

Lions have a lot going for them. Best hasnt had a chance to get KO's yet and the Lions plan on giving him 20 touches a game, which will tear the Bears D apart. A revamped offensive line isnt huge, but its enough to get something going. Stafford should have enough time to find some of the Lions weapons. If Lovie starts bringing the house its gonna be time to hit the TE. I dont see anyway the Bears do anything to stop the Lions long enough for the Bears offense to generate offense.

Hey Calvin Johnson, you can show up and do something any time now. If this guy fucks up my fantasy team for a second straight year, I'm gonna piss on his shoes. Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, you're a fucking useless asshole.

In the middle of the field that's a catch but in the end zone you have to get 2 feet down, roll on the ground, get up and walk halfway to the bench before letting go of the ball.

That's a catch. The end zone rule is ridiculous. The Lions got hosed.

You can blame the zebras from fucking you out of a TD

That has got to be the stupidest ruling I've seen since the "tuck rule." I'm not even a Detroit fan and I'm pissed. Everyone with eyes could see that he caught it, had possession with two feet and a butt and as he tried to get up, the ball hit the ground. Whatever...that is some crap right there.

You need to keep the ball in your possession till the locker room

That's an idiotic rule. Should have been a TD. That's no different than a player dropping the ball when pulling it out of his glove trying to turn the double play. It's still a force out.

As a Bears fan, I completely agree.

I've been complaining about that rule for years. Maybe now they'll actually change it - after this season.

That rule also applies to the sidelines, not just the end zone. But it's idiotic. If a Bear had knocked the ball out of his hand a fraction of a second before the hand hit the ground, it would have been a TD.

I actually believe the refs interpreted the rule wrong in this case, and it was just a plain bad call. The "football act" was complete, and CJ was just basically using the ball to get himself up off the ground to celebrate. There is no stated time period that needs to pass during this "football act", so it is a total judgment call. If the same play happened and he got hurt, but laid there for a few seconds and then rolled over to use the ball to help himself get up, but dropped it in the process, that would still be called a catch. So, in my mind, whether it's minutes, seconds, or nano-seconds, the ref still needs to interpret when the "football act" is complete, and in this case, it was completed.
