I am an integrity junkie... it's who I am and what I am... I am also loyal to the core... Midwestern values / Akron raised ... part of the DNA

LBJ has presented himself as same... that preludes himself from making certain decisions... in order to support he is what he's been saying he is... "walk the talk.. don't talk the talk"

We didn't like Manny's decision, nor Thome's, nor Sabathia... but they never positioned themselves as LBJ has done... so therefore, we regrettably give them a pass... maybe even cheer for them under our breathe cuz they used to be 'ours' ... Look at Bernie Kosar.... he was the Browns LBJ.. loyal...

27.. you can't be surprised we spin everything the Cavs way.. be real dude... this is BP.. and we make no bones about die-hard OSU, Cavs etc... feelings... we don't try to hide it... we don't even try to be fair... it's who we are...

We're very glad you're gonna be a happy camper come Thursday night.. when LBJ validates the values he has proclaimed time and time again
I never said I was surprised by it.

edit: and I don't mean that in a snobby "this doesn't surprise me" kind of way.

I like you better already... Edit: Oh wait nevermind pussymade, I don't... 27 is a real man right here...
:sob:

and yea you are probably right. But you know that being a fan means you're either with us or against us. That's just the way it is.
not really. you can be a fan without being a homer or delusional. that's what I try for. it's why I have such fun reading posts from nut jobs like thakid. I'm pretty sure he subscribes to your definition of "fan" too.

Completele ignorant statement. We got him for the 30th pick in the draft. A stretch 4 who is capable of maybe 18 and 8 a night for basically nothing. He was a bad matchup against Garnett, but if they get past Boston he matches up well against Rashard and you're singing a different tune.

That's not the entire picture. The Cavs didn't just give up the pick, they gave up Zydrunas Ilgauskas' expiring contract too. While they got the player back, the cap space went out the door when they got back Jamison, whose contract goes for another two years.

I don't know the numbers off the top, but I don't know that it matters though. Look at this list of cities and tell me which one doesn't belong:

  • New York
  • Chicago
  • Miami
  • Cleveland
Players aren't just trying to line themselves up for the best contract or the best shot at a championship, they're making lifestyle decisions. The fact of the matter is, for NBA players Cleveland as a city is seen as lacking something that those other cities have. Even without the cap space, the Cavs had all but secured Chris Bosh, but he didn't want to come. I think that even with the cap space, we would've seen more of the same.

All that notwithstanding, LeBron James' posturing put the Cavs in a position vis a vis the Jamison trade where they weren't being afforded the luxury of thinking months into the future. They had to make a move to try to put them over the top. I think they made the best move available to them, and unfortunately it didn't work out.

lebron james has created and grown this spectacle for no other reason than to generate hype.
I'm flummoxed as to why you see anything wrong with this. NBA wants to sell tickets and media contracts, both of which this is likely to support.

The hatred being spewed toward LeBron is truly peculiar.
