Cody Simon was awarded Defensive Player of the Game after recording 11 tackles (seven solo), two sacks, three tackles for loss, and a pass breakup in the game.

When Cody when down with that injury, I'm almost certain he lied about it being his knee. He had a concussion, not a doubt about it. Kid knew he wouldn't be allowed to stay in the game. I don't think I could be convinced otherwise. I know this move cause I pulled it more than once.

Looked like the knee took some stress on that play. I was relieved to see him back on the field later, even moreso when he was following Sawyer for 80 yards.

I mean I'm pretty sure Leonard played most of the notre dame game with a concussion. Marv was trying to get his helmet back the notre dame game. So if it was his head he played it off well. I think one of Clemson's Wr's was concussed in 2019 and magically came back at half. So if he was he played it off well

It’s interesting bc both Bill Norton and Archie Manning were concussed for Texas.
Norton came back in, Archie didn’t.
I’ll be honest….i think Archie gets called into game on 1st and goal to utilize his legs….but in a moment of class for your athlete, I think he was effectively “out” of the game. Truly, good for Texas to take a kid who got absolutely rocked by Ransom, and according to some, momentarily unconscious, not put back in game.
Could’ve changed the course of the game though.

Cody Simon has added yet another accolade to his illustrious final year at Ohio State.
The “Block O” wearer, captain, leading tackler and first-team All-Big Ten linebacker for the national champion Ohio State football team was honored for both his athletic and academic success on Monday night as he was named OSU’s male recipient of the Big Ten Medal of Honor, which honors one male and female athlete from each institution who demonstrated excellence on and off the field throughout their college career.
