Andrew Sweat's first-half performance against West Mifflin Friday night was the best defensive display I've ever seen on the high school level.

Ohio State and Penn State are after Sweat, a junior at Trinity. If Pitt's smart and truly wants to seal off Western Pennsylvania, Sweat is a must-have.

Keystone Recruiting:

Two more WPIAL linebackers that will get their fair share of offers play at Trinity High School in Washington, PA. The higher rated of the two is 6'2" 230 pound ANDREW SWEAT, a member of Keystone Recruiting's 2006 All-WPIAL Second Team. Sweat had a great season flying all over the field making plays.

"He runs under a 4.6," claims Trinity head coach Ed Dalton.

The other part of the duo is 6'2" 220 pound MIKE YANCICH, who Dalton says runs in the 4.55 range and is also expected to get interest.

"Sweat has offers from Wisconsin and UConn so far," says Dalton, "and Yancich has an offer from UConn. There will be a lot of schools coming through here and they will get a lot more offers. Pitt, Penn State and Ohio State are coming in this week."

From the Wisconsin site...Andrew talks about being at UW for their Junior Day last weekend. He has written offers from Pitt, Temple, Connecticut and Wisconsin, verbal offers from Michigan and Penn State and is receiving heavy interest from Ohio State, Florida and Notre Dame.

Saw that...wasn't sure how to interpret it...could mean a verbal offer from us as well? May have just been a slip of the tongue...
