I have an autographed Lawrence Taylor football... that supposedly is worth over $400 per internet... this isn't going to help it... :pirate1::sad2:

If Ray Lewis can get off for murdering someone... and Ben Roth sexually assaults at will... and he gets away with it... and Kobe got away with it... then Lawrence has a pretty good chance too...

Shawn Kemp may have fathered 26 kids with 24 different mothers... but he never got charged with rape

1) You never know about the autographed football--look how well Nazi memorabilia sells.

2) Doesn't sound like Kemp had time to work any non-consenting women into his schedule.

It is a lot easier to get off if you are raping someone.

(No pun intended of course.)


Problems like this would be alleviated if we had more gay football players.

If you are raping a woman she is thinking "Oh my God, I am being raped!"

If it were a guy he would be thinking "I'm taking it up the ass from Lawrence Taylor! Wait till I tell the guys!"

(Somewhere in there I was trying to make a subtle point about hero worship and the accompanying sense of entitlement, but it kind of got away from me.)

According to ESPN news, it looks like he's being charged with 3rd-degree rape for having had intercourse with a [strike] 15 [/strike] 16-year old girl.

If they have DNA evidence and a birth certificate, he'll need a helluva lawyer and/or a jury of former season ticket holders.

More info - In NY, if he's found guilty, that's punishable by up to 4 years in jail, and he'd have to register as a sex offender.

There's also a report that a pimp brought the girl to the hotel where the incident occurred.

Statutory rape. Girl was a hooker; doubtful LT knew her age (if, indeed, he had sex with her; she seems to be pretty marginal).

Not defensible if true, but not really the stuff of "horrible person," either.
