You just have to know that he thought by making a Jim Tressel like statement about beating us in the swamp this year that he was sounded liek atought guy. I began to question with Teague and Richardson if he was telling them not to de-commit from us so that we don't fill their slots. Now, with this, he is looking like a complete fool. How ignorant has this guy been? How great is it for us. Complancency is an issue for teams that win national titles, but I really doubt if complancency will be in issue on September 19. I am ready!

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Southeastern Conference Commissioner Mike Slive has issued a public reprimand to University of Tennessee head football coach Lane Kiffin for his public comments made earlier today.

"Coach Kiffin has violated the Southeastern Conference Code of Ethics," Slive said. "SEC Bylaw 10.5.1 clearly states that coaches and administrators shall refrain from directed public criticism of other member institutions, their staffs or players."

"The phone call to which Coach Kiffin referred to in his public comments is not a violation of SEC or NCAA rules. We expect our coaches to have an understanding and knowledge of conference and NCAA rules."

In all seriousness, for total comment douchebaggery, I recommend the comment section for any college football article written in the AJC, Orlando Sentinel or the NO Times Picayune. It's so bad you'll lose faith in murica.

I think the guy meant to compare Kiffin's statement to JT's "in 310 days ..." speech. Those not close to the tOSU program have a vague and incorrect recollection of JT's statement as being a guarantee of victory over the rival, so that's why he thought Kiffin's statement about winning in The Swamp was similar to JT's.
