What is so funny about this hire is that everyone sees this as an at best 3-4 year stay for LK. Either he succeeds and leaves or he flames out bad and gets fired. There is no 5 year plan or 10 year plan here. This is going to be a very short and interesting event. And then it will end.
Like I said earlier, if he makes it past 2 years without committing major ncaa violations, I'll be shocked.

Ole Miss football coach Lane Kiffin wants transfer waiver for players with postponed seasons

Ole Miss football coach Lane Kiffin says players whose conferences have decided to postpone fall sports should be free to transfer without penalty.

During an appearance on the SEC Network on Tuesday, Kiffin said it's a "shame" that players are unable to do so.

"Kids are having their schools or their conferences deciding to shut down, so they can't play, and a lot of them have a lot of money on the line with the next level, or they just want to play their last year," Kiffin said. "So it's really unfortunate that the NCAA is not allowing them to transfer and be eligible immediately. We're being told that won't even go into a waiver process, so I feel really bad for those kids. It's not their fault. Why can't they come play somewhere? That doesn't make any sense to me."

Just sayin': If the NCAA would even allow it and players would transfer, it would backfire on Kiffin. The best players would go to a contender creating an even bigger talent gap between the top teams in the SEC and Ole Miss.

i don’t see a ton of players opting to transfer.

yeah as of TODAY a season down here is set to happen.
that could change any day now.

so you’d be transferring into the exact same situation as you’re in now.

that uncertainty alone will slow down and transfer talk.
