Sitting around in my underwear....
Just wonderin' if any other BP'ers are headed to the Kenny Chesney, Gretchen Wilson, & Pat Green concert tonight @ The Schott.

I don't give a shit about Kenny & Gretchen, however Pat Green is a different story. Our Texas posters know what I'm talkin' about. PG is a fucking legend in the Texas music scene along with the likes of Jerry Jeff Walker & Willie Nelson.

Should be a good time if I don't get too fucked up before. I'm too old to start drinking at noon.

Kenny Chesney is overrated. My wife loves Gretchen Wilson but we couldn't get tickets.

BTW, will someone please tell Mr. Zellweger that the white coral necklace went out of style two summers ago.

I know Pat Green has a VERY passionate following. I'm not too familiar with his stuff.

I am not one of those people that thinks that underground or local acts should never "sell out" I am a capitalist and as such think that if there is money to be made then by god do it. That being said I cannot believer that Pat Green is going to be on the same bill as Kenny Chesney and Gretchen Wilson. When he started out he stood against everything that those two are about, crappy nashville cookie cutter country. He was even smart enough to sign with universal out of NY so that he could maintain artistic controll. I guess that its just hard to handle a guy that at one point claimed Nightmare was the greatest song he ever wrote and now he doesnt even play it. I know that you have to play what the croud "wants" but it gets frustrating sometimes.

oh yeah and real country is not for pussies, Waylon, Willie, Cash, Kristopherson, keith whitley, George Jones, George strait, and others are man's men. The problem starts when you throw in Kenny Rogers, Toby Keith, Big and Rich and that sort

I saw his concert in Tampa and it was pretty good. Uncle Kracker open for him there which is one of the the main reason I went. Gretchen Wilson sucks and her set was painful to watch and listen to (I have never heard of her until that night). Kenny put on a good show... his set was about 2 hours. He's starting to get into the Jimmy Buffet type of role. I like his "island music" to listen to while sitting out by the pool with a few cocktails :)

He's the only "Country" artist that I listen to. I really can't take any of the other stuff. The crowd at the concert was full of hot chicks and guys that thought they were Kenny Chesney. It was funny as hell and pathetic at the same time. I' listen to all kinds of music... I've got a ton of Cash music on my ipod. I probably won't get to another concert until August when OAR is coming to Clearwater. I Can't wait for that.

Country music to me is ole school country such as, Waylon, Willie, Cash, Haggard, Whitley, George Jones, George Strait, Vern Gosdin, and John Paycheck. This new country is pop with a southern twist. Kenny Chesneys music is ok, but I would not spend a dime on any of todays country.
