The Big Ten has announced their weekly awards.
Ohio State Buckeye J.T. Barrett received the co-offensive player of the week, sharing the honor with Northwestern’s running back Justin Jackson.
From the Big Ten:
J.T. Barrett, Ohio State
Jr., QB, Wichita Falls, Texas/Rider
The Buckeye quarterback went 17/29 for 226 yards with one touchdown. He also rushed for 92 yards giving him a total of three touchdowns on the night. Against a stellar defense that Wisconsin had those are really good numbers.
It is nice to see Barrett win the award especially since his leadership and poise was on display against the Badgers in Camp Randall. Having his leadership is something you can’t put into analytics, it is something few possess.
Congratulations to J.T. Barrett from all of us here at The Buckeye Battle Cry offices.
