Ohio State senior Joe Doyle swam the third fastest time in the 100-meter butterfly in preliminary competition Thursday at the USA Senior National Championships in Irvine, Calif. Doyle set an Ohio State Swim Club long-course record with a time of 53.20 seconds and qualified third for the final Thursday night behind 2004 Olympic medalists Ian Crocker and Michael Phelps.
