95. JIM HERBSTREIT, READING, 1957: The father of ESPN analyst and former Ohio State quarterback Kirk Herbstreit made his own reputation in Cincinnati. He was Reading's football, basketball and baseball captain. He also ran track. He was a Post all-city selection twice in football. As a senior, he led Reading to a baseball state title. During the tournament, he qualified for the state track finals and finished second in the 220 and fifth in the 100-yard dash. He played both safety and running back at Ohio State and was team captain in 1960.

Jim Herbstreit had as many receiving touchdowns as Archie Griffin in their careers at Ohio State. He had more receiving touchdowns than Chris Gamble, Ron Springs, Jonathan Wells, Chris Wells, Lydell Ross, Bam Childress, and Corey Smith combined.
