First I’ll introduce myself. My name is Steve. I am a 2009 graduate of the Criminology Department and current active duty military. I am a misplaced buckeye.
Alright, I have scoured the inter-webs and I have continued to come up empty handed. I have a robust Ohio State nike football jersey collection. However, there are missing pieces to my collection. I cannot put this collection on display in my house until I have fixed the situation.
Back Story: Since 2005 I have been collecting all of the nike jerseys sold in hopes of developing a framed timeline of sorts for throwbacks, rivalry, new versions, etc. Yes, you can say I have played into the hands of the marketing executives but this is my hobby/collection and I'm ok with it.
Here in lies the problem...
I am missing two distinct jerseys from my collection. The 2002 style championship uniform. White with Grey and Scarlet sleeves. This one dates back to before Eddie George. I'm looking for a size M or L with sewn numbers. No name on the back please, given the likelihood of it being counterfeit.
The other is the Blackout jersey from 2013. Although never worn in a game, I feel this is an incredible jersey. I ordered it multiple times from Ohio State merchandise websites but was consistently delivered a size small. It is frustrating to order and return the item FIVE TIMES, only to have the same mistake repeated.
I have been asked in the past why I don’t/didn’t go to the stores directly. I am stationed in Washington state. The option for me to return to Ohio is rare.
To be clear, I am asking for information to purchase. I have friends in Ohio that can show up to pick up or we can work something out to have something shipped. Any information can point me in the right direction. I have alerts set up on eBay and I constant check Craigslist ads in the OH/IN/KY area. My father has even talked to the Social Workers alumni association.
Hopefully you guys can help.
BONUS: If anyone knows the potential of scoring one of these bad boys, feel free to let me know. This was supposed to be worn durring the cancelled 2012 Carrier Classic.
