Sure. I prefer to feel bad for those who are victims of bad luck. If you make a poor decision, you have nobody to blame but yourself.
So if you're child dies b/c of a questionable decision, you'll have no sympathy?

First of all, Pittman's decision was not life or death.

Second of all, Pittman is not a child.

Great analogy... :roll1: Did you learn that at the amazing Taylor University.

But keep feeling sorry for somebody who has only himself to blame.

No, but you've taken the time to mock sympathy in such threads... why should I assume this thread is different?

That doesn't remove his status as Valerie's child. Sorry.
Wow, such great logic. Did you learn that at the amazing Taylor University?
Nope. Did you learn how to evade questions at Ohio State?

Would you feel zero sympathy if your 21 year old made a serious life mistake? One doesn't have to excuse a mistake to empathize with him.

Nope, not if his mistake was a stupid one and prompted by greed (i.e. money)

No sympathy for people wanting the easy money.

OH, but he's somebody's child, so we have to feel sorry for him. :slappy: :slappy:

Feels like I'm reading something Oprah would say.

Yes, but when your only claim to fame in life is being a phony penis on a message board, you have to tailor every arguement ot whatever gives you the most attention. Tibor is an attention whore who rides the coat tails of being an OSU student...but he was nothing more than an idiot who got in to keep the enrolement numbers "colorfull." Don't be surprised by his ignorance.

Pittman dropped out of school to earn good money, possibly more than would be available next year (even as of now). As I mentioned in the other thread, next year is hardly a recipe for raising his stock.

His status as someone's child was an english lesson, not a reason for empathy.

I love it. Oh BTW, Asians are overrepresented minorites in higher education, so nobody lets us in just to add color.

I thought tibs was God?????

Has something changed since I have been gone??? :shake:

"I have an M.D. from Harvard, I am board certified in cardio-thoracic medicine and trauma surgery, I have been awarded citations from seven different medical boards in New England, and I am never, ever sick at sea. So I ask you; when someone goes into that chapel and they fall on their knees and they pray to God that their wife doesn't miscarry or that their daughter doesn't bleed to death or that their mother doesn't suffer acute neural trauma from postoperative shock, who do you think they're praying to? Now, go ahead and read your Bible, Dennis, and you go to your church, and, with any luck, you might win the annual raffle, but if you're looking for God, he was in operating room number two on November seventeen, and he doesn't like to be second guessed. You ask me if I have a God complex. Let me tell you something: I am God."
