    Bucks qualify

    From the Official Site

IOWA CITY, Iowa - Ohio State jumped out to a 4-0 lead, extended it to 8-1 and then withstood an Iowa rally to win the final game of the series with Iowa, 9-7, Saturday at Duane Banks Field. The win evened the series at two wins apiece and left the Buckeyes with a 30-24 overall mark and a 15-15 record in the Big Ten Conference. Iowa concludes its season 22-33 and 10-22.
Ohio State has qualified for the Big Ten Conference tournament. Depending on the results of some games later Saturday, the Buckeyes will go in as either the No. 4 or the No. 5 seed and could play either Illinois or Penn State. Indiana is the sixth seed. Michigan and Purdue are the top two seeds.

The Buckeyes needed to win their final game to clinch a spot -- just like in 2007 when they went on to win the Big Ten tournament -- and they did it with a 9-7 victory over Iowa in Iowa City.
Ohio State finished 15-15 in the conference for the second straight year and 30-24 overall, and will take on Illinois in the first round of the tournament at Michigan. It's the 12th consecutive year the Buckeyes were among the top six in the conference to qualify for the tournament.
