I represented Buckeye Nation in College Station, Texas today!

Im attending Blinn Junior College in College Station, Texas but I grew up in Ohio as a kid and am a proud Buckeye living in the heart of Aggieland.

Today I ran the "Coach Fran Charity 5K"', (Coach Franchonie is the head coach of TAMU). The race started and ended inside Kyle Field, but the actual course itself was stupid with no mile markers and poorly marked..... Anyways I finished second overall and I was getting ready to leave when the announcer was like "Coach Fran will be personally handing out awards to the top finishers and 15 minutes."

I was like YES! (Im not an Aggies fan in anyway) so I ran back to my car and put on my Ohio State cap and T-Shirt I brought with me. During the award presentation I shook his hand and told him "Go Bucks" and he just looked at me weird. I walked out of the stadium a few college kids hissssed at me and I asked a little girl wearing an Aggie Cheerleader outfit if she wanted my medal, so I gave it to her.

Thanks, gotta show them who's boss up here in Aggieland! It's great everytime I see their 1998 BIG XII Champions in their stadium... cause we all know what happened in the Sugar Bowl!

Better than the first one I was involved with. We do a local Rotary run and we had members stationed at key intersections to stop traffic and direct runners. Well, we had this one guy direct the bike cops and lead runners the wrong way. They ended up finishing the 5K in like 14 minutes because the route they went down was shorter. Thankfully they were so far ahead of the rest of the field it did not make a difference.

Thirty years ago, Texans were making remarks to me in Houston about the fact that Ohio State alumni "never seem to leave Columbus."

Please don't be offended by the weird look. One day Texans will "get it". In fact, one day coming very soon!

Oh yeah man I am super pumped about the UT-OSU game. I only wish they were playing A&M but a win against any Texas team would make me very very proud.
