Next year , for the first time ever, I can be available for all the home games.
How do I go about getting them. I need some tips here people. I hope I don't have to donate 10,000 to get them. I would have to rent out the wife. :wink2:

There are a couple of ways to get season tickets direct from the University.

First Way:
You join the buckeye club (athletic dept)

There are various levels from $100.00 to $10,000.00 or more

The Scarlet and Gray Level
Starts at $1,500.00. If you donate $1,500.00 you will be able to purchase (2) season tickets. (they do not guarantee this but no member has been turned away in the past.)

The Big Ten Champions Level
$2,500 to $4,999.00 also gives you the opportunity to buy football season tix plus other perks. You can buy some of the away games and possibly the bowl game, A Go bucks card, this is good for free admission to all Ohio State's Olympic Sports such as track, wrestling, baseball soccer etc... plus walk on privileges at the Scarlet and Gray golf course. This one is a great perk.

The National Champions Level
$5,000 up to $9,999.00. You can get all of the above plus you can but all of the away games, bowl games and the opportunity to purchase a parking pass at the Schott or the other various lots.

The Scholar Athlete Level
$10,000 and up, gets you all the above plus an invite to the scholar athlete banquet and an invite to the athletic dept golf outing. (This is easily the best golf outing I have ever attended)

I have a membership at the Natl Champ Level and my wife is a member at the Big Ten Champions level. we also both belong to the Pres Club. Going this route gets us (6) season tickets, tee times at the Scarlet, we go to baseball games and I take my nephew to soccer games (ugh) This has also allowed me to get BB73 his tickets for all of the away games at face value.

Second Way:

The Presidents Club
$2,500.00. donation grants you a membership at the Bevis Society level. What is so great about the Pres. Club is that the money can go to any department in the University you want. That includes the satellite campuses as well. The only problem is you still only get the option of (2) tix no matter how much you give. If you want more than (2) you have to give to the Athletic Department on top of the presidents club.

The presidents club phone number is 614-292-9550. These people are there to answer all of your questions.

One of the best parts of joining, are the association banquets and get together's. You can meet all kinds of really interesting people.

But the very best part is you donation to either club, no matter which one you join is TAX DEDUCTIBLE!!!!!!. They send you a form that states the cash value of the opportunity to buy season football tickets is around $300.00 so the rest of your donation is tax deductible. IT really doesnt get any better that that.

OSU's Presidents Club veers from sports

People who donate only to Ohio State University athletics next year no longer will be part of the Presidents Club.


Starting in January, the new Presidents Club will extend benefits only to individuals who contribute at least $2,500 a year to OSU academics, health sciences or the arts.

"Instead of focusing on what you get for what you do, we want to recognize people for the contributions they make and the impact the money has on the university and its community," said Alissa Comella, the club's senior director of development.

Ohio State alerted members about the changes Monday. Officials hope the tweaks also more clearly differentiate the Presidents Club and the Buckeye Club.

With more than 9,000 members, the Presidents Club is Ohio State's largest source of charitable donors and volunteers. The Buckeye Club has just less than 4,000 members and raises financial aid for student athletes.

People often get the groups confused because people who donate a certain amount (at least $1,500 for the Buckeye

Club and $2,500 for the Presidents Club) get the opportunity to apply for two season football tickets. So far, everyone who has applied for tickets has received them.

In the past, anyone who contributed $2,500 or more to academics or athletics was invited to join both clubs, although they could apply for only one set of tickets. Now, only people who give to academics will be recognized by the Presidents Club.
