The Rockets are currently 13-8 on the year following a 15-3 trouncing of the Dayton Flyers and a double-header sweep of defending MAC champion Kent State. Rocket Jared Hoying was voted this week's Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Player of the Week after going 3-for-6 with two runs scored and a collegiate-best seven RBI. Hoying collected his second grand slam of the 2010 campaign and the three-year starter now has six roundtrippers over the last three contests.

As long as I can remember, they always go to Florida. They host a tournament in the Port Charlotte or Winter Haven (old Indians training site).

Last year they went 18-0 to start the season. This year, not so much.

Sucks that I cannot find anywhere to watch this game or keep track of the score.

For future reference, go to the official Ohio State baseball schedule (http://www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com/SportSelect.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=17300&SPID=10418&SPSID=87797) and then scroll down to whatever game they are playing and then on the right hand side of the game that day there will be a "Live Stats" button and that is like a GameCast and you can follow along.

tOSU up 4-3 on Toledo in top of the 9th - final, tOSU won

Huge win, imo. Toledo is pretty dang good, and to pull one out at the end may be just the thing our guys needed.

Using Cole Brown in the sixth seemed a bit odd to me, but it worked out ok. Other than Browns shaky sixth, the pen was lights out.

Dean threw 80 pitches, so i'm guessing he is done till next week. Might be able to get an inning or two out of him vs NW... hopefully, he wont be needed.

So whos looking to be the starter Sunday, assuming Wimmers and McKinney go Friday/Saturday. Or will Best or Rucinski be able to go since they only went one inning today?

My best guess is Friday/saturday will be Wimmers & Rucinski. Sunday is a tough call...there are several ways to play it. if everything goes according to plan friday and saturday, i'd say McKinney gets the start on Sunday. Best will be used out of the pen this series. It's going to be interesting to see how it plays out.
