Hey! My prediction was right!!!

congrats :tongue2:

however, I'd say his big catch to set up the 4th qtr FG was a pretty big play. troy just took it to another level.

I'd say that TO's and bad kicks kept Michigan in the game at all, and if you look at the Rushing stats - it's precisely what I was trying to convince you of the other day, regardless of any catch ANY Michigan WR made. Michigan didnt run the ball, and they lost. (If OSU played it mistake free, Michigan gets destroyed)

It's a bit of an anomoly that OSU threw so well and still won. Doesn't fit my theory as I'd been outlining, but I'll take it!

I don't disagree with that, but the fact is we narrowly won that game, and a big pass to manningham did have a pretty decent impact (led to a two score lead). The running game is always the key to a victory, but the passing game is extremely crucial as well (which was what I was arguing).

Except that the passing game isn't extremely crucial, as I outlined.

A great play here or there, even Gonzo's, does not a crucial aspect to The Game make. Of course, without Gonzo's catch, OSU is harder pressed to win the game. I've never argued the passing game should be tossed to the side entirely or that a big play in the passing game doesn't mean anything. But, again, this all started when we were discussing your reasoning why Jenkins would be the guy who stepped up, and why you thought that was important and why I have been arguing it's all about the Running game.

yes I did. and that's why I said the running game is always the key to a victory, but the passing game is extremely crucial too. Pitt was absolutely huge, but we won the game more by Smith's arm than Pitt/Smith's running. I guess Smith has to throw for 400 before it becomes extremely crucial.

As for UM's struggles, clearly the lack of a running game was THE problem. That being said, in The Game, where anything can and usually does happen, they nearly beat us without one.
